๐๐ข๐๐๐ง ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฐ๐ง๐ (1st Team Coach)
Iโve always loved everything about football. Over the years, Iโve gone from playing the game to coaching and watching it, and Iโm really enjoying the fresh perspective that comes with this new role. Away from the pitch, I love going out for good food and spending quality time with friends and family – those moments are just as important to me as the ones on the field.
When it comes to coaching, I know that while UEFA qualifications are preferred, they arenโt always necessary. I currently hold my UEFA C and plan to work towards my B license, which Iโm really motivated to achieve. Whatโs been just as valuable as the qualifications, though, is the experience Iโve gained in team environments. I think that understanding how a group works and how to meet their needs is at the heart of being a good coach.
On a typical match day, my main focus is getting the boys into the right mindset โ making sure they donโt overthink things, so they can just go out and perform. Warm-ups are usually handled by Harvs, and from there the lads move into their usual pre-match routines. For me, the best part is seeing them put into practice the things weโve spoken about in training. Watching those ideas come to life on the pitch is such a rewarding feeling.
Iโve also been really lucky with the coaching staff around me. Andy, Harvs, and Jarv have all been brilliant, always willing to share their experience and insights. Iโve already learned so much from them, and Iโm looking forward to continuing to grow under their guidance.

Hi, Iโm Will. I am the Goalkeeper coach at Fakenham Town FC. Before we go into the football side, away from football I love going fishing with my son, especially catching carp and pike. Iโm also a bit of a nature geek, with a real interest in birds, moths, and fungi. To keep fit, I enjoy trail running and have taken on several marathons and ultra-marathons over the years.
As a young goalkeeper, I played for Ipswich Town from the U12s through to the U18s, and even made a couple of appearances for the Reserves. Unfortunately, a serious injury ended my playing career at 18, but for the past 10 years Iโve been coaching goalkeepers of all ages and running youth football teams. After spending a couple of years with Future Football Elite, I joined the Ghosts in the summer of 2024 as First Team Goalkeeper Coach.
On a match day, I like to arrive early to check the pitch and catch up with the players. I usually share a coffee with the management team to go over the squad and tactics for the day before focusing on warming up the goalkeeper, setting goals for the match, and making sure heโs in the right headspace to perform. My favourite part of the day has to be those last few minutes in the dressing room before kick-off – the adrenaline is flowing, the energy is high, and that buzz never gets old.
Weโve got some great characters at the club. Harvs and Jarvo are both big personalities, very different in style but equally influential with both senior and junior players – they always seem to know exactly what to say to get the best out of someone. Andy Cunningham is a sharp analyst of the game, delivering his insights in a way thatโs clear and impactful, so when he speaks, everyone listens. And then thereโs Pearso. All goalkeepers are characters in their own way, but Pearso really is a cut above – not only a very talented goalkeeper but someone who keeps me on my toes as a coach!

My name is Jasmine, I’ve joined the club this season. I enjoy keeping active through badminton and strength training, and I also love winding down with a good book.
As a student, I believe itโs important to gain experience across different settings to continue building and developing my skills.
On match days, Iโm involved in pre-match and post-match treatments such as massage, taping and assessments. During the game I stay on the bench ready to step in if any injuries occur.
Iโm really enjoying my time at the club so far and feel grateful to be working alongside the team and players as we aim for the best possible performance each game.

I love travelling, trying new food spots and playing netball!
I hear you say, what do you need to be a physio? To work as part of a medical team in sport youโll need a degree in physiotherapy or sports therapy to gain the necessary knowledge. Experience is also really important to improve techniques, build confidence and understand whatโs required to work in this sector.
The matchday always starts with player prep – quickly having a look over niggles, taping players and a bunch of pre-match massages. Iโll then monitor match play and run on if anyone gets injured.
Nothing beats the energy before a match. It’s the best part – other than a win of course! All the boys, staff and supporters have been so welcoming since day one and have made my time at the club amazing so far. I canโt wait to see what this season brings!
