It is with great sadness we have to announce the passing of one of the greatest goalkeepers Fakenham Town has ever had, David (Shiney) Yarham.

Shiney played in the clubs successful era of the early 70’s, gaining promotion and winning the Norfolk Senior Cup.
He then moved up a level at that time to play under the guidance of the great Bill Punton at Gt. Yarmouth Town.

After his playing days were over, once a Ghost always a Ghost, he came back to help the Reserves gain promotion.
Our deepest condolences go out to Shiney’s friends and family.

The club will hold a minutes silence on Saturday before the Cornard game for this true legend. Rest in Peace Shiney.
